MSP Supplementary Benefits in Burnaby and Vancouver
If MSP has confirmed that you qualify for Supplementary Benefits, MSP contributes $23 per eligible visit. The annual limit is 10 visits total, shared across acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy, physical therapy and non-surgical podiatry. Phoenix provides four of those services. You pay any remaining clinic fee.
Who Qualifies
MSP confirms who qualifies for Supplementary Benefits. Many people qualify based on income, and MSP also recognizes other qualifying groups. Eligible patients share the combined annual limit of 10 visits.
Note: Counselling is not covered under MSP Supplementary Benefits.

Verify your MSP Supplementary Benefits status. You can do this yourself or we can check using your CareCard number.

Book & Treat
Book a service that may be eligible under MSP supplementary benefits, such as physiotherapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, or massage therapy.

Pay The Difference
We bill MSP for $23 per visit when the visit is eligible. You pay any remaining clinic user fee for the session.
Automatic Verification
Provide us with your CareCard (PHN) and date of birth, and we can check your MSP eligibility.
Direct Billing
For eligible visits, we bill MSP directly for its $23 per visit portion. You pay any remaining clinic user fee.

Do I get 10 visits per service, or 10 visits total?
The limit is 10 visits total per calendar year, shared across acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy, physical therapy and non-surgical podiatry. It is not 10 visits for each service.
Does MSP cover the full cost of the treatment?
No. MSP contributes $23 per eligible visit for patients who qualify for Supplementary Benefits. You pay any remaining clinic user fee.
Can I use my Extended Health Insurance to cover the remaining balance?
It depends on your benefit plan. Confirm your coverage with your insurer. Phoenix may be able to direct bill the remaining eligible amount.
