Stress, Anxiety, and Sleep Support in Burnaby

Stress, anxiety, and poor sleep can affect your body, mood, focus, and recovery. Phoenix Rehab offers counselling-led support, with body-based services available when they fit your goals.

Support for the Mental and Physical Load

People often look for support when worry, stress, poor sleep, pain, injury, or life changes begin to affect daily routines. You do not need to wait until things feel severe to ask for help.

Counselling is our primary service for anxiety-related concerns at Phoenix Rehab. Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, and massage therapy may be supportive for stress, body tension, or sleep routines when appropriate, but they should not be presented as treatments for anxiety disorders.

Stress, Anxiety, and Sleep FAQs

Is counselling the main service for anxiety concerns?
Yes. Counselling is our primary service for anxiety-related concerns. Other services may support stress, body tension, or sleep routines, but they are not described as treating anxiety disorders.
Can body-based care help with sleep or stress?
Some patients find that addressing body tension, pain, or stress routines supports rest and comfort. Everyone responds differently, and your provider will tailor care to your needs.
Do I need a diagnosis to book counselling?
No. Patients can book counselling for support with stress, anxiety, coping, life transitions, pain-related stress, or sleep-related routines. Diagnosis and medical treatment decisions belong with the appropriate healthcare provider.
What if I need urgent mental health help?
Phoenix Rehab is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or may hurt yourself or someone else, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In Canada, you can also call or text 9-8-8 for suicide crisis support.
How many counselling sessions do people usually attend?
It varies with what you are working through. Some people notice change within a few sessions; others prefer longer-term support. Your counsellor will discuss a realistic starting plan at the first session and adjust with you as things progress.
Is counselling covered by extended health plans?
Many extended health plans cover sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor; coverage amounts vary by plan, so it is worth checking your policy. Counselling can also be part of care after a car accident under an eligible ICBC claim. If you are unsure, contact us and we can help check your claim eligibility.
